How to Use a 6-30 PSI Tire Deflator?

The process of using a 6-30 PSI tire deflator involves the following steps:

Step 1: Deflate a spare/extra tire to your preferred deflation pressure using a professional pressure gauge.

Step 2: Screw the deflator onto the valve stem all the way in tightly. Ensure that the threads are clean and in good condition. If the lock ring and adjustable cap are not wound down, the deflation process may be slow or stop at an unexpected pressure.

Step 3: Loosen the cap (counter-clockwise) until the deflator pops open, then immediately tighten the cap to the position where the air stops gushing from the tire.

Step 4: Turn the lock ring up to adjust the cap and tighten it.

Step 5: The installation is now complete, and the deflator is set to your preferred deflation pressure.

Important Notes: - The fully adjustable range of the deflator is from 6 to 30 PSI. - Airing down a tire from 28 PSI to 0 PSI takes approximately 4 minutes, as per the test. - To increase pressure, screw the cap in clockwise, and to decrease pressure, screw it out counter-clockwise. A small amount of rotation, 1/16th to 1/8th of a turn, can adjust the pressure by 1 PSI. - Once all four tires are adjusted, tighten the lock ring with two pairs of pliers, being careful not to rotate the cap. - Adjustments to the deflators can be made at a rate of 3 PSI per half-turn of the adjusting cap. - When the tire pressure and the deflator setting are within 8 PSI, a manual start may be required by fitting the deflator and then lifting the center pin to start the operation. - Keep the deflators clean and dry. Do not interchange components.
